And to those who didn't make it on the picture like Robert, Tom, Christian, Ingo, Daniel, Kariem, Sergej, Heiko, Julian, Anton, Max, Andreas, Lars, Maxi, Korbi and Patrick. Thank you!

We moved Cologne...

Well, in fact just our Cologne office has moved. We are now new best friends with "Alarm for Cobra 11"- the German hit TV action series that makes cars defy gravity - because we moved in with the production company "action concept". Our new address in North Rhine-Westphalia is:

RISE FX GmbH
c/o action concept GmbH
An der Hasenkaule 1-7

50354
Hürth

They've got a huge parking lot. But you never know what happens to your car while you are having a coffee with us...

In the News...

Our Lidar 3D scanning subsidiary Pointcloud9 scanned one of Berlin's most famous historic sights, the Brandenburg Gate for "Das Adlon", the new TV mini-series by director Uli Edel (The Baader Meinhof Komplex). Shooting is currently under way in Munich and visual effects will be handled by our Cologne office this fall. Since everything around the Brandenburg Gate has changed dramatically over the last century shooting on location didn't really make much sense for a period piece. The 3D model of the Brandenburg Gate will be later digitally transplanted into the set in Munich during postproduction.

Here is what the "Berliner Zeitung" had to say:

Pointcloud9 Lidar scanning on fxguide

fxguide just featured us and our Pointcloud9 Lidar scanning service in a new article. Also the fxphd visual effects school is giving a camera tracking class by Victor Wolansky this semester using one of our Lidar scans to align the track and to achieve better tracking results in less time. The footage for the class was shot by VFX supervisor Frank Schlegel using his own RED camera. Head over to fxguide to read the whole article:

Thanks to Mike, Ian, Victor and Frank!
